NEWCOMERS’ ORIENTATION:  WELCOME TO POPE AFB!!! Newcomers’ Orientation is Mandatory for all military members, spouses are welcome to attend. Base wide information is provided by various on and off base agencies to welcome and familiarize you and your family to the Pope AFB and Fayetteville communities. It is offered monthly, usually the third Wednesday, from 8:00 am – 11:30 am.  Childcare funds may be available. Mandatory Pre-separation counseling is required at least 90 days prior to the date of separation.  Group counseling is held every Monday and Wednesday morning.  After attending register to attend the 3-day workshop which covers necessary information to prepare participants for the civilian job market: Skills Assessment, Career Planning, Job Search Techniques, Resume Preparation, Interview Techniques, and VA Benefits.  TAP Workshops are conducted each month, three full days, from 8:00 am -4:30 pm.

Pre-Deployment Briefing is a mandatory briefing for all military members departing for Deployment, TDY or on remote assignment for 30 days or more.  Married members are encouraged to bring their spouses.  Briefings are conducted Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 p.m.  To register, or if you have any questions please feel free to call the Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) at 394-2538.
